Data Processing Agreement
The LanguageOps Data Processing Addendum is available on request.
This page summarises the intended data processing position for LanguageOps. For customers who need a signed Data Processing Agreement, contact us before production use so the correct agreement can be issued and reviewed.
Roles
For customer content uploaded to the platform, the customer is normally the controller and LanguageOps is normally the processor. Where LanguageOps determines the purpose and means of processing for its own business operations, LanguageOps may act as controller.
Processing purpose
LanguageOps processes customer content to provide translation, localisation, transcription, dubbing, live translation, quality assurance, file engineering, integration, support, account administration, security, and billing services.
Categories of data
Customer content may include source files, translated files, audio, video, subtitles, translation memories, termbases, style guides, reference materials, project metadata, user account details, and support communications.
Sub-processors
LanguageOps may use infrastructure, analytics, payment, communication, AI, transcription, speech, and storage providers where needed to deliver the service. Customers with strict processing requirements should discuss approved providers, local processing options, and privacy mode before production use.
Security
LanguageOps uses organisational and technical measures intended to protect customer content, including access controls, secure transport, account-level permissions, and workflow separation. Privacy mode is intended to support local server pre-translation for teams with stricter data control needs.
International transfers
Where data is processed across borders, appropriate contractual and technical safeguards should be agreed according to the customer relationship, plan, and processing configuration.
Customer instructions
LanguageOps processes customer content according to customer instructions, product configuration, agreed workflows, and applicable law. Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the right to upload and process the content they provide.
